Trustworthy AI begins with trustworthy data. Oscar Thees works with participants on six dimensions of data quality—completeness, representativeness, accuracy, timeliness, consistency and data lineage—and connects them to the governance requirements of the EU AI Act. The session also examines responsibilities, documented data preparation and transparent data provenance. Using the Dutch Toeslagenaffaire as a case study, participants analyse how poor data quality can contribute to discrimination. They learn to identify data-quality risks, define appropriate assurance measures and document their findings in an audit-ready manner.
